I was fortunate enough to meet this very special young lady yesterday. Jasira King was the winner of Foley Gardere’s MLK Oratory Competition. She was amazing! We were on NBC 5 together to talk about her speech. She was eloquent and poised. Her name means “Bold and Courageous” and I can attest that she certainly is. Blessed to serve the community and meet so many wonderful people like Jasira

Martin Luther King Jr. was a great man, a great thinker, and a great American. Today, we honor him for his brave struggle to advance civil rights and equality in this country.

"We need someone who has a foot in the north and a foot in the south — and I do," Villalba said. "Somebody who has business experience. Somebody who has experience working with the Texas Legislature, and getting things done at the highest of high levels. And I’ve done that."

Together, there is nothing we can’t accomplish. Read more → https://goo.gl/PuySTX

"Tuesday, the former representative looked to walk the moderate line again, focusing on Dallas' racial and economic divides in a speech in front of his grandmother's house in Oak Cliff.”

I'm humbled by the support of those who came out to my announcement yesterday. Now it’s time to do the hard work, bridge the growing partisan divides, and GET STUFF DONE!

Today, I announced my candidacy to be the next Mayor of the Great City of Dallas. Together, we can harness the power of community. #VillalbaForDallas #GetStuffDone

Of all of my time in public service, this picture embodies most what I am about. I will always be here for you. Looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday.

Friends, today is the big day. It’s time to vote for your Republican candidate for the Texas House. We have had one heck of a ride together! We’ve funded our schools, cut our taxes, balanced our budgets, saved the pension of our first responders, kept our schools safe, kept our economy strong, fortified our water plan and bolstered our infrastructure.

I am not a perfect man. I know that. You know that. And my wife certainly knows that. But if you have learned one thing about me, it is that I am effective. That I care about you and your family and that I do this for the right reasons and not for personal gain or glory.

Today, I ask for your support and for your vote one more time. Together, we can continue to build on our successes as the greatest state in the Union. I believe in you. I pray that today, you believe in me. God bless you and may God continue to bless the Great State of Texas.
